FS 2004 not starting

:huh: A very odd error - When you try and run the simulator the first screen that pops up is the FarCry splash screen appears (windows desktop still shows) in the foreground. I have tried every thing from checking the link, going to Windows Explorer and clicking on the actual .exe and uninstalling FarCry.

The splash screen does not go away.

The bigger problem - Finally the FS 2004 screen shows but does not remain long before I am kicked back to the desktop.

Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks.

Do other games run properly? Try reinstalling the display drivers.

are you using roboform, or windowblinds? if you are then uninstall it and restart it will work.

Chaos -Yup everything else runs like a charm.

Sandy - I did have WinBlind on the system. Let me try ridding myself of that and give it a shot.

But don't you guys think that is odd that the splash screen of FC pops up even though its been uninstalled. Where do you suppose Windows could be caching this stuff?

^^Defrag your drives and run Disk cleanup.

It usually helps to remove all cached files..

its because of windowblinds just remove it, should work.

^ ^ wow.... I had this problem (simulator one, not FC) all along. had tried every damn thing before I finally gave up and uninstalled it.
Will re-install now and try. I remember having Windows Blinds installed at the time... hmmmm wierd...
