I bought the PSU for my new system which is under construction presently. So the PSU was never used and its boxed packed. Now I am planning to buy the 24 Pin eXtreme Power (RS-430-PMAR/P) because my internal components are increasing.

You don't really need a 24-pin PSU unless you absolutely want dual 12v rails

Assuming he's still using an AGP board, the 7800GS is his only bet upgrading from the 6800U.
