i dont know much about the range works in my two bed room flat throughout, beats the door of my bedroom gives high n/w in the hall and other bedroom as well.. never tried it in the flat below!

I am also using 54G2 in quite big duplex and it works like a charm every where without any drop of signal. Range is very good undoubtly. Only thing you have to ensure to keep on higher floor (lower floor should be avoided) and not close to a wall. This is one of the best wireless router for home purpose.
