@Nikhil... I aint becoming poor so soon buddy :)

I wont comment in anybody's sale thread as this is no chatterbits section... Dj himself pointed this out in sunny's thread when he felt the same... I felt same and pointed it out here only after when he had posted individual prices... Hope i made my intensions clear :)

Anyways Dj. I feel the prices you posted are decent enough as i dont know the market prices but i knew somebody getting a new piece for 4K and i "assumed" it to be market price. Hence all the confusion. I take my words back and i promise that in Mumbai TE meet with Switch(Hope that happenes) that 1k is sure getting spent :).

^^ Nope.. i can tell for sure it was Boxed piece. let DJ confirm it here, anyway.

Yes, it is a boxed pack piece.Comes with all the accesories.
if i had opened the box for testing i would state it here "Before" Selling it.

@ brother switch, i had told this info about it being a new piece and the rough price to only a select few TE pals and i can make a fairly easy guess who might have told you that.....:D.
Two of them have actually seen the card in action at my place and even played farcry at high to very high settings, (1024x768) at an average fps of around 55 ~ 60 on this card.
But anyways three cheers for switch especially from TE Pune meet members.....:cool2: :hap2:
and please try to come to mumbai i would request masky and other outstation members (staff or otherwise) and we can have a grand meet of TE members.... pure, unadulterated fun ....:)

received the packages from dj :) graphic card was sealed and came with nascar thunder 4 i think ..... lol....foxconn mobo packet was seloptaped hehehe :) but dj gave me a cd with the latest drivers he downloaded n bios :) thank u dj..

Dj how will you compare this card to a 9800 Pro... 9800 pro is ofcourse a AGP and this is a PCIe :)... Also how will you compare this card with a 6600GT...

I am hoping the standings of the card will be a tad higher then the 9800 pro and a tad lower then the 6600GT... Plz correct me if i am wrong... And if thats true then i might have a buyer for the very same card :)...

no switch. the 9800pro is faster than the 6600. the 9800pro is just a little slower than the 6600gt. there is not a huge diff between 6600gt & 9800pro.

the 6600gt is atleast 30 -40% faster than a 6600

@ switch,
A 6600 plain and 6600GT have the same core. the only difference is the higher memory speed support on the 6600GT.
for e.g. the default speeds (in bios) of this plain 6600 is 275 /650 mhz however the core easily goes upto 525 ~ 540 mhz (will go higher even but i have not tried it) , which even a 6600GT generally o/c's to.
However since this card has 3.3.ns hynix ddr memory the max memory speed i could go before very, very, slight artifacting in 3dmark05 was 700 mhz. http://www.techenclave.com/forums/328501-post356.html(artifacting was only in the third test (dragon) and only during a particular scene where the dragon goes over the boat. otherwise no artifacting whatsoever throughout the test.)
The 6600GT has 1000mhz gddr3 memory and it can be o/ced to 1150 ~ 1200 levels.

due to this lower memory speed i would say this card (or any plain 6600 for that matter) is about 15%~ 18% slower than a 6600GT. but if you consider the price of a pci-e 6600GT (8.75 ~ 9.75K) this card is good value for money. ideal for guys who are planning to get 20K gfx cards in near future but want to use this as stop gap arrangement or future backup purpose.

I have one last 6600 card for sale. the rest of the items have been sold and delivered. This card package was opened by me for testing the card the results of which i have posted in that 3dmark05 thread....
if any member is interested please let me know so that i can request the mods to close this thread.

on monday / tuesday i will come out with some more low-cost, value for money package deals subject to avialibility of the m/b.
