FTA Agreement with UK

Not sure about that, but hopefully import tariffs on cars will reduce :)
Reduced significantly.
India has signed FTA Agreement with UK. Will it have any impact on general public who would like to import stuff from there like Ebay UK or Amazon UK.
Yes most likely. The only thing which I know gets manufactured in UK and we like to buy are Raspberry PIs :) For Amazon we used to get things from Amazon UK but it has stopped since Covid.

The price of PI in USD is exclusive of sales tax. So, if you consider standard gst rate of 18% on base price of a PI, there isn't significant difference or markup for prices in INR. The benefit will not be significant.

The 51% GST + Cess is still in place, right? I was under the impression that the CKD tariffs and CBU tariffs would be reduced significantly. Since the popular offerings of European cars use the CKD route, I expected a 20-30% reduction in price. Which is good nonetheless

MyProtein has started manufacturing in India. I haven't tried it yet, but have heard its almost the same quality, but different tasting.
Only few flavors like Chocolate & Strawberry and people still avoid the Indian made one lol. Many flavors are imported from UK ex: salted caramel,Brownie etc, you can check the importer details on official page.

Few things I wish to be cheaper ie. Scotch and Chocolate/Cookies

Not sure what FTA would be bring for it

Waiting for those Scotch prices to drop.

Did India negotiate a deal to export its whisky to the UK? UK doesn't consider Indian whisky as whisky due to the shorter maturation process. India has been trying to bargain hard for a deal on it.

I would like to know if this would have any effect on importing clothes from UK? I want to order some football kits but have not done so because of the exorbitant custom duty fees levied on importing clothing.

Idk if it’s included in the deal but FTAs usually have no effect on direct consumer imports, you’d still be charged whatever duties they are charging now. It only comes into play if you import it as a business (ie with an IEC code).

1600s - Give us your gold and spices
2000s - Pls give us your clothes and spices tarrif free
1800s Thanks to our mills we can make clothes much cheaper than your weavers

And that's how British textiles made Indian weavers redundant. They did a China on us over two centuries ago
