Planning to buy notebook for CAD drawing.

- A full HD display is critical for me.
- Minimum 8GB, would really want to go as close to 16GB as possible.
- A SSD HDD would be greatly appreciated.
- I will be running Windows . So if a good laptop comes with Windows, all the better.
- Need a decent dedicated graphics card.
- 5th Gen i7 will make me happy
-Backlite Keyboard is a must!

I don't have any particular brand preferences.
Yes- I can extend the budget slightly

Thank you

There's a Dell Inspiron new with i5 5200u and full HD.

Still would recommend you to get a desktop because U processors are bull***

There's also a lower model of GL552JX as A50....
Same specs as gl552jx but cheap design.

Please never go with TN 1080p panels ever.

Choose 1080p IPS only.

I second this. Gaming is something, CAD MAYA etc is another thing. You'll need a good display with accurate colors if its for professional usage. I've read stories about people screwing up in the color graphics industry because of poor displays.
Get a desktop with a professional graphics card. Dont be like my stupid relative who bought a dell branded PC for his animation courses. >_>

A desktop would be the best option in your budget considering your requirements.Any IPS laptop in this price range will have to compromise on the other components(i7/SSD will be impossible to get) and the GPUs in this price range will be pretty weak too.
