Furniture Design - Any Simple Software?

Hello folks!

I want to know if there is a software out there with the help of which you can design furniture? The software should be easy to use and design with and should not have a steep learning curve. I'm looking to make a few shelves and racks for my new apartment and was looking to design some furniture first and see how they look roughly.

I'm haven't ever tried such designing and modeling software's so I'm pretty much a newbie at this, please help folks.

Try your hand at google sketchup. It took me not more then 4 hours to learn the damm thing. Its free and you can get video tutorials all over the net.
