Because ram comes with different timings and different chipset . Also ram comes with lifetime warranty and warranty matters the most and also performance , over clocking etc

And things do lose their value over time, specially in 3 year, and I'm pretty sure almost all rams cover with lifetime warranty nowadays , quoting the one on Amazon 32gb kit, that too is from G Skill. Same timing more capacity and new only for 20% more.
