Last year I purchased 2GB(2x1GB) G-Skill RAMs from KMD and it was serving well till now. But last week it starts giving trouble and it doesn't show up in BIOS though i can see it in CPU-Z screen and Everest.

Here I want to know the complete procedure for RMAing my RAMs. Those who ever RMA's their RAMs, I request them to throw some lights on the RMA procedure. Should I go for KMD way ( he demands 900 bucks) or other way.

I had asked Udit regardimg Gskill RMA coz Me to getting a pair from US and he had told me its simple and U have to ship it to taiwan and the total cost he said was arnd 600bucks:D

Maybe Udit can throw more light on it:)

go to their site ... fill the rma form (no need for purchase details just your name, address, serial no. etc) ... ship to Taiwan (pack as guided) via EMS ... wait 2weeks & new kit in front ... total 600bux (if customs catch then 1k total) :)

I did it twice ... once no customs ... once 400bux

Now I got my RMA no. but have some doubts in mind, as mentioned by G-Skill they won't accept defective RAMs which went kaput

due to overclocking. I did overclocked it and was using it for some time. How would they gonna know it was overclocked or not as

in my case it doesn't have burnt marks anywhere.

Also it would be advised to spend 600(or 1k if custom catches) on RMAing or spend 1200-1300 for new RAMs with local warranty.

my had died twice because of overclocking still I got new ones so don't worry & i would advise to spend 600 (or 1k if custom catches) on RMAing

If there arn't any burn marks you will most prolly get the ram rma'ed, because ur OC isn't saved anywhere on the ram. Its just a PCB with ram chips.
