I have a couple of queries abt this magnificent vfm board.
1. There are only three options of RAM: FSB ratios available 0.8 1 1.2 and thats it. I have a RAM which can easily do 1066 and I cant do it without overclocking the procie since the processor FSB is 333. Max I can do is 800.
Relating to above is it better to run the RAM at 800 CL4 or 1066 CL5.
2. Secondly there doesnt seem to be an option for stting AHCI mode in BIOS. While the intel site states that ICH7R supports AHCI. Is AHCI enabled by default in SATA mode?
I have a Q8400 running at stock currently and its Vid is 1.2875V in BIOS. I have all the voltages in auto mode now and the voltage on the core doesnt go above 1.1 even at full 100 load on all cores. This is very nice as I understand it. What I want to know is a 3.2-3.4GHz overclock easily achievable on this chip at stock cooling? I have a R0 stepping.
