Guys I went ahead and ordered GadgetShieldz screen guard for iP4. Now I read installation instructions, which I couldn't understand properly :ashamed:

I am skeptical and scared to apply soap water to iP4. What if it gets into device somehow ? Too confused about it.

I ordered via ebay. Shall I cancel it and get simple ones ? or does anyone here make me sure that nothing gonna happe and give some proper instructions ??

TIA :)

^thank you !! I did search before posting, but :ashamed:

It has instructions too :hap5:

but what about applying water ? it's safe right ?

It is much easier than applying the standard screen-guard.. believe me, I just applied last week on my captivate.. come on gtalk or call me, I'll quickly help you out...

My advise, DONT! Really, if you have little experience with wet application skins its better not to test waters with a device like the iPhone 4.

A drop of water here and there and water sensors present inside the phone may turn red resulting in nullifying your warranty. Worse things could happen if water gets inside the phone by any chance.

Skins, especially wet-application ones, suck in my opinion. The orange peel effect and the rubbery feel ruins the feel of the naked screen, specially in case of a device like the iPhone 4 which has a gorgeous, smooth display. I also believe some skins damage the oleophobic coating on the display making them harder to clean.

I'm using the iPhone 4 since the launch day without any sort of skins and its still perfect! The glass indeed has very strong scratch-resistant properties. Just make sure you don't carry your iPhone in the same pocket with keys/coins etc. and you're safe. Believe me, there's nothing like smoothness of a naked iPhone 4 screen! :P

If you still want to apply a screen protector better get some dry application films like Power Support or SGP EX Ultra Crystal. They look and feel much better.

@trigger - thanks a lot man !!

@styx - I posted in various other forums and got similar reply and opinion. So I am going for dry ones :)
