Galaxy Note 2 Verizon - Can it unlocked?

Well, my friend has a Galaxy Note 2 Verizon..

Can it be unlocked and used in India??

If yes how??

As soon as the sim is inserted and the phone is started, a notification comes saying NON_VERIZON sim...and then no service at all...someone pls help

you have to set the mode as global. Few verizon phones have the problem of not latching to GSM networks. If your phone happen to one among those then you have to get it flashed for a cdma service like Reliance.
