Samsung has announced their next beast, the Galaxy S IV. Borrowing heavily from the previous flagship, the Galaxy S IV is a familiar face with refreshed specifications that make it ready enough to take on the heavy weights that will be released throughout 2013 (or for most of it). The Galaxy S IV will come in two distinct flavors, one donning the Samsung made Exynos 5 Octa chipset, while some regions will receive the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset.
Samsung Galaxy S IV scores big

We always knew that that the Galaxy S IV would be a big scorer in benchmarks. However, we reserved those thoughts for the Exynos 5 Octa chipset. However, it seems that Samsung won't let it's 4G capable Snapdragon 600 chipset based variant lower the overalls, with the Galaxy S IV scoring high enough to beat out old champions such as the Galaxy S3, iPhone 5 and even the newly introduced HTC One (which is also based on a Snapdragon 600 chipset).

It's real nice to see that the Snapdragon 600 based Galaxy S IV will also be a benchmarks (and otherwise) monster of a phone. Certainly good news for all people awaiting the market launch of the device.

Samsung Galaxy S IV as a Gaming Console

It seems Samsung will really push the Galaxy S IV in all spheres, and gaming will be a big one. Samsung is preparing an attachment to support display sizes upto 6.3 inches (Note III?). Basically the attachment is like an Xbox 360 controller. Will certainly add decent gaming capabilities to the handset (without crippling it like the Sony Xperia Play from 2011).

The Game Pad will be available from May, pricing yet to be disclosed. The Game Pad is powered by two AA batteries. The controller will be bundled with 8 games and 80 Android games will be ready at launch.
