Ok, I just got the phone. :)

I have not installed a SIM yet, but I am trying to connect to internet via WiFi. When I switch on WiFi it detects my Router and I can connect to it, but when I try to use the web browser It say's no connection is available. Is there anything I am missing here.

Which net connection? I hope its not one of those web login type.

You can try putting in IP address manually. (router assigned address range like 192.168.1.10 or something else depending on your router ).

Also log into your router and see if your phone is showing up in the connected devices list.

Have you set the connection in bridge mode

If so, set it in PPPOE mode ( by saving the username/password on the router), it should work

btw, Congrats :)

Thanks Guy's. I got to the root of the problem as well. The connection is a regular Airtel connection and I have a Buffalo WiFi router in between. In my excitement, I forgot that I had a MAC ID filter enabled so that no one else can use my router and had previously registered the MAC ID's of all my WiFi devices in the router. I registered the Mac ID of the Galaxy S in the router and voila, I have internet.
