Hi,

We got a Xbox Game Pass with a laptop. It keeps on showing this

We have not linked any MS account with this Windows. This system will not be used for gaming. Can we make a new throwaway account, link Game Pass with it and then sell it to someone or is there a code or something that we can find somewhere which will be more convenient? Are there any takers for it? Is it legal to do so? @soulweaver

I have absolutely no idea about gamepass.

But ideally, nothing is stopping you from selling it. It isn't strictly illegal.

While claiming it, make sure you do it in a browser and be careful to not click on any prompt which says 'use this account for all Microsoft apps on this PC'

If you have already tied the PC to an MS account, and are claiming it via the windows store, it is likely that it will be tied to that account. In such a case you might have to delink the PC and then try again.
