I am not a gamer. I bought a Redgear Pro Wireless Gamepad for my sisters kid. https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0756CLQWL/ref=dp_cr_wdg_tit_nw_mr?th=1

It works on android games designed for TV , which I can install easily.

I tried connecting it to a laptop/ NUC. I have already installed the drivers on them. It does not work in games that access via browser. I tried it with some retrogames websites. anyway it does not work with games on any website. I installed games via MS store. There also the controls doesnt work. However, pressing the home button the gamepad, activates Xbox gamebar.

What I want to achieve is , it needs to play games on browsers and MS store games. or games I install on PC through games exe files (not tested this one.yet)

There are 4 LEDs on the gamepad which all lights up when I directly connect to TV and play.
However, when I connect to a PC, only 2 are lighted up.

What I am doing wrong here? or the controller is faulty?

Only 2 are supposed to light up when it's connected to a device and not charging. I have the same gamepad and it shows the same behaviour - 4 lights on when it's plugged in/charging, and only 2 when it's connected wirelessly.

Not all games will support the same kind of input. Microsoft Store games technically should universally support the gamepad but again it depends on the games. I have a chinese wireless $20 gamepad that basically runs the same kind of drivers that emulate an xbox 360 controller and it doesn't work with browser-based controller-supporting games either. Neither does my old xbox one controller.
Maybe list the games you tried, and I suggest going to Start Menu > type 'Set up USB game controllers' and click on the first option. Here, go to it's properties and try to move the analog sticks around. If there is input shown on the screen, the controller works fine but the game likely doesn't support it. If there is no input, the controller is faulty but I doubt that the controller is actually faulty in this case.

The Redgear controller supports both DirectInput and XInput. Look at the manual to see how to switch between the different input modes. I think both modes work with UWP apps from MS Store, but only one of them with browsers and EXE files
