Games like Deus Ex

Are there other good games out there which are similiar to Deus Ex? I am looking for games which are story driven, open-ended, have RPG elements, and a mix of action and adventure.

I know about its sequel of course, but I haven't heard too many good things about it and it probably will not run too well on my computer.

system shock 2 is almost as good as deus ex

best of all, its free now

there is a freeware port of it out also now with gfx enchancements
