games that run on a fx 5200

i know its a pretty noob question to ask, but those who do have a 5200, could you please help me out??

my pc specs :

amd xp 2000+ :(
256 mb ram :(

currently i'm running
fifa 2004 (havent tried 06 yet),
rise of nations (first one), and
LOTR : Return of the King without any probs...:clap:
 
IMO all games with a few exceptions should run with low and minimum settings.The main limiting factor in your case is your RAM and then ur CPU.Get atleast 512MB.
 
lol kumar...all of games?

dont even bother running fear, oblivion , BF2 or even HL2 on this at any setting apart from bare min and 640*480

games that can run 1024*768 medium...lets see

half life

doom

fifa 2006

RTCW

fifa 2006 will run but dont run that game ... try running PES -5 .. :ohyeah:

lol..is pes that good?? i remember i used to play iss2 (or something similar) on a ps emulator...was great fun.
(had shevchenko,ronaldo,lampard all in one team in 2003 ... :P )

i'd surely like to try out max payne2 and fifa 06..
and what doom do you mean?? the original one (which also ran on my 486 :S ) or doom 3?
 
i guess upto doom2....
dont think doom 3 will look good on that card..

oh true HL2 runs on anyth except on a paper card lol.....kudos to the game developers.

May Payne2 ran fine on 1280*1024 med and 1024*768 maxed 3 years back with my ti4400 card and Athlon XP2000 with 512mb ddr333 ram I had then...
 
buddy increase the ram it will be enough if u r willing to play in low detail.

cos my friend is palying MW,CSS,HL2,Q4 on the same config with 1gb ram.
 
oooh... gotta go for more ram i guess...

hope they(ram prices) come down soon, coz 1 gb costs like around 5k..which is a lot!!

guess will do with 512 + 256 mb...shud be more than enuf.
 
so will be able to add another 512mb ram to my system??

Add more RAM but unfortuantely DDR prices have gone up...my friend got a DDR 400 512*2 mb kit for 5000 bucks :S ... i am afraid u will have to spend a bit more than a few months back :(
 
yeah ... and Dont forget to go to your driver settings page and set Image Quality settings to "High Performance" and make AA/AF to 0 0 (make sure you untick 'application preference' ) . If you have triple buffering to 'OFF' , set it enabled :)

Also , if your refresh rate is 60Hz and you have a 17" CRT, increase it to 85Hz .
 
is ddr 200 mhz availability an issue??

and im gonna go for 512mb only... that shud cost around 2.4k i guess

@broar94 ...yeah, most of the settings are 'application controlled'... hope that isnt much of an issue.

installed pes5...the controls r damn difficult..
not scored one goal...the keybaord setting r so weird, even changing the whole thing leads to the ps2 controller stuff.

help me out...
 
I ran Painkiller, Total overdose at 1024 x 768 on rhw mx 5200 when my 6800GT went for replacement. Its not such a bad card for the price considering that some of the Macs in our office are running a 20" LCD at 1680 x 1050 resolution without a sweat with this card. As many people may know, the entire GUI of Mac OS is hardware accelerated.

ok.. now this game is simple unplayable with keyboard .. ;) ;)
get a decent dual analog gamepad and immerse urself in true footbal experience..
and yeah ..you dont score 5-6 goals a match here like fifa :P
