hi ppl

require gaming keyboard with backlit keys

budget : upto 4K.

Play mostlty rts and rpg games .

sometimes play action and fps .

have logitech mx51 mouse

^^ You can look at the Microsoft Sidewinder line-up too --

X4 retails for ~ 4500/- here in Bangalore.

X6 have not asked the price, but it looks killer and very customisable [the Num-keys can be put on the left OR right].

I have the Razer Lycosa and vouch for its performance, looks as well and its sheer simplicity. Joy to type on this keyboard.

Hope this helps, Sire.

Wishing all on this thread a happy Diwali.

@snow

After reading multiple reviews i came to this conclusion and bought the g510. Some pros and cons are as follows,
Razer Lycosa Normal Edition
Pros:- Rubber keys supposed to give better grio
Awesome looks if you care for it
Pretty bright backlit
Mutlimedia keys(all have it)
All keys can be programmed i guess .
Cons.
No seperate Macro keys
Dust attractive
Buggy keyboard going by user reviews(smtimes keyboard goes off randomly needs to be replugged, smtimes media keys dont respond)
Need two usb ports

Dont remember any pros or cons abt sidewinder x4 and x6 but for me they were pretty much out of contest other than the price point of view and when some said it has laptop like keys .

Logitech g510
1.Mutli-color backlit
2.3 macro profiles , wid 18 dedicated programmable keys
4.Multimedia controls(has a volume knob as well)
5.LCD Display to monitor temeperature using everest or chk cpu utilization , shows game stats of some games etc.

Cons.
1.The volume knob does not work if u plug headphone into the keyboard audio jack(no reason to use it unless you have a onboard sound card which is very bad)
2.No usb port on keyboard .
3.My keyboard used to restart itself on plugging in the MIC into the keyboard .

When compared to g15 v2 it has more g-keys(programmable keys) , more backlit features .

My suggestion would be to buy the G510 over lycosa or g15 v2. It really is good.

I had bought the same from flipkart for 4390 , it had come in stock for just a hour or two and i was lucky to spot it and order the same :).

Yea by all means take your time its a matter of 4k for just a keyboard :) , i took 2 months to decide i am going to buy one and then i faced lots of stock issues with g510 but looks like the lagaan song finally paid off (mitwa song :p) .
