51-70k Gaming Laptop Buying Advice.

How's gigabyte in terms of thermals and build quality tho? Is it safe to buy them for at least two years or so?
Gigabyte doesn't make there own laptops it is basically a OEM laptop from some company like clevo or xmg etc, the thermals won't be great and the after sales is also not great, you would have to make sure there is a service centre in your area first. If you only have to use it for a year or two you might be able to get by but I won't call it reliable.

The MSI choice will offer relatively better after sales service I think but the story with thermals wouldn't be much different.

Honestly under 70k you can't really get a good all rounder gaming laptop especially right now when there is no major sale going on, you might be able to find a better deal during a Diwali, Christmas, Independence Day or Black friday sale but even then you will have to compromise on either reliability and service or performance.

I would recommend going with the Lenovo LOQ 4050, even if any problem develops you will still be under warranty for 2 years if you get the extra warranty which isn't much more.

That's what I was considering as well, well other than used laptops. Speaking of pre owned stuff, how is gameloot for buying laptops? I've been eyeing a few models there for a while, is it safe to buy from them?

I get that, but are they safe to buy from? As in, will I get a decent product and not get scammed?
In my opinion, if you know and trust the seller well enough than go for refrub/pre-owned, else for peace of mind I would recommend to buy a new one in your budget and specific requirements. I have noticed even Flopkart can scam and then make excuses for replacement, so it's pretty much dependent on your luck to buy from those as well. I'm not against any invididual or company, this is just my observation and personal view.

Makes sense, I guess I'll stick to the big sites or just go offline and see the product in person before buying it.

Actually on flipkart, the 4050 is for 68k with a bank offer so I'll most probably get that

Which bank offer are you applying?

For laptops, would recommend going with either Asus or Lenovo with the 3-year extended warranty. Gigabyte has next to no support and MSI at the low-end has horrible thermals with low TDP GPUs, so would recommend staying away from those 2 brands.

I have the Asus Vivobook with the 75W RTX 4050 which of course cost me well over 1 lakh in 2023 because of the OLED screen but it also made me realise how important the screen is for a laptop, having suffered through real poor gaming laptop screens prior to that. Besides that, would recommend the 4050 over the 3060 because the efficiency is simply great. For example, I recently started playing Cyberpunk 2077 at 2.8K resolution with DLSS 4 Balanced, everything set to High (without RT) and get about 50-60 FPS with FG, the total power draw being less than 100W.

If you are going for the LOQ or something, at least when I was making my purchase, Lenovo offered a 100% sRGB screen option on their website and along with corporate/student offers, it was cheaper there than on Flipkart or Amazon (which didn't offer the better screen), though you might have to wait a few weeks for delivery.

Hello,
I hope you're doing well. I’m currently looking to buy a gaming laptop with a budget around 65k INR. My primary preference is to find one with either a 4050 or 3060 GPU. I came across the Powercolor Evol P15 priced at around 60k, but I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to wait for upcoming sales to see if the price drops or if this is already a decent offer.
I’ve also heard about local stores like MD Computers and Vedant Computers in Kolkata, but I’m considering online retailers like Amazon and Flipkart as well, in case they have competitive deals.
If anyone has recommendations or insights on whether prices might drop further during sales, or if there are any other good options within my budget, I would truly appreciate your suggestions.
