Gaming on Windows Vista RC1

Lemme start with Need For Speed: Most Wanted

my first gaming experience on Win Vista. Installed and ran without any problems frame rates were bit low when compared to Win XP and the textures looked a bit off..

used nvidia forceware 96.33 for win vista rc1. overall experience was satisfactory and likely to improve once better drivers come out. vista is not that resource hungry afterall

will try out some more games soon.

Smith is playing css on vista i think and is getting respectable performance i believe.. will install vista myself and check it out and then update here

i have installed ..vista rc1, but havent tried any game yet..due to shortage of time...will try some and give u da feedback..

I remember Q3 artifacting like mad on my X850XT PE on the Beta 2. I haven't installed the RC1 yet, I'm waiting for Microsoft to ship it to me But I shall update here at the soonest once I receive the DVD.

Well NFSMW runs perfectly fine here, no messed up textures or anything. Nice and smooth.. But i dont have Nvidia, ATI drivers for vista RC1 are simply better than i expected.

First thing. Ditch 96.33. They are reported as PITA.

This was their first release for vista RC1 and it gave horrible experience to the users from what i have read and people prefering 95.xx that comes with RC1.

If there are any new releases then try that or go back to default drivers.
