Hey guys, just need a final check with the following config. Will be buying the components tomorrow. Budget 50k. Already have monitor, kb, mouse.

CPU Intel 2500k - 10250/-

MoBo MSI Z68 G45 - 8800/-

RAM G.SKILL 2 x 2GB 1600 Mhz

GPU MSI 560 Ti HAWK - 13700/-

PSU Corsair TX750W - 5350/-

HDD WD 250gb SATA III - 2500/-

Optical Sony - 900/-

Case CM Storm Enforcer - 5600/-

------------------------------------------------

Total : ~Rs. 47,000/- (+ price of RAM)

Any advice?

p.s : I will be getting an aftermarket cooler later in the year.

Go for Seagate Barracuda 1TB SATA 7200.12 SATA 3Gbs-2.9k/WD Caviar Green 1tb-2.8k than wd 250gb sata III.

Do not go with Seagate, as it has reduced warranty to 2 yrs now on most of the products. As of now, stick to WD.

Also, a 1TB WD Blue should be around the 2.8~3k mark.

^ Thanks for the suggestions guys.. But I'm not really planning on anything more than 500gb for now. Does everything else on the list check out?

Windows 7 Has best performance at 6GB, Would recommend you to go for 8GB (2x4GB), RAM. Besides that, i was not able to find any MSI Z68 P45, everything else looks good.

^ Currently, no use for anything more than 4 gigs. Will be importing an 8 gig kit later in the year along with the CPU cooler.

Thanks for all the inputs guys. I'm gonna lock-in the specs. Will report back here soon. :)

@JayMathers - Sorry mate :) Typo. It's an MSI Z68 G45.

^^ Hmmm...

Get a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB ~ 1900/-, then atleast you will not have any issues with RMA even if you end up with a bricked HDD, not so in the case with Western Digital, they might as well not offer any warranty [having seen the rates at which their Green series drive going kaput + Blue series RMA getting resolved like the value of pie and Black series too pricey for the performance on offer].

Also why aren't you getting the NZXT Tempest EVO from Golccha Inter-Trade much better cabinet for a price increment of ~ 200/- quid -- NZXT Tempest EVO Review - Page 1/6 | techPowerUp.

Rest configuration is fine, are you locked on nVidia GTX 560 Ti else the HD 6950 1GB version is also a good contender at that aprice also consumes less power + eyeFinity -- AnandTech - Bench - GPU11.

Hope this helps, Sire!!

Think I might take that hard drive suggestion.. :)

I looked at the case, while it looks downright fugly externally, I think it has some pretty neat features inside. Will definitely sleep on it.

I think so. Because I'm getting a 560 Ti HAWK which can be more or less OC'd to 570 speeds. Also, I'm a bit partial to nVidia. Never owned an AMD card before..

Not enough room in the budget right now mate. Need some big ass space for all the games.

I think it is ~9k even 750tx is ~7k

Boops! :P I meant the TX version. Corrected. And also, I'm pretty sure the guy quoted 5350/-. I can find online retailers selling it for around 5500/-. Including Golcha.

better buy Corsair Carbide 400R Case ~ 5k... its better than tempest evo... and better than every case between 4 to 6k range... Go for it eyes closed...

+1 for this cabby, It s better than Enforcer.

Before launching Corsair Carbide 400R Enforcer was best.

I had looked the the 400R when it released in the US. The lack of removable hard drive cage put me off. :/ Also does it have a usb 3.0 internal header? If not, quite shabby if I have to route it around the back.

Will ask about it when I head down this weekend. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find the Mobo I was looking for. He only had Asus ones. And they're quite pricey compared to MSI. But if anyone knows a z68 based full ATX Asus mobo for less than 9k, it'd be great.

Corsair comes with 2 * USB 3.0 with interchangeable USB 2.0 connector

It can support large cards comparison to Enforcer.

yes, there is lack of removable HDD cage.

I think the HD 6950 1GB comes close to the GTX 570 in performance, but at the penalty that it doesn't support features like CUDA, but overall I'm happier with the HD 69** series, also I've had better experiences with AMD cards,

my old X700 used to give better frames in Crysis: Warhead than my current nVidia 9400 GT.

^ Will look into the AMD cards once.. For the time being have decided to switch to 400R :)

Can you guys recommend me a cheap asus full atx P67 or Z68 chipset motherboard? Should be SLI capable, usb 3.0 and all that good stuff. Budget 10k. Prefer below 9.5k.

Just a quick update guys, I got the system couple days back. Had it

assembled in Aashirwaad itself cuz it was free.

Final specs:

Intel 2500k

MSI Z68A G45

MSI 560 Ti HAWK

WD 500gig HDD

Corsair 400R (thanks to those who recommended this case to me, it's

more than one could ask for for it's price range :) )

Corsair TX650W

Cost around 49k in total. At the end of the day, I was short of money

to buy the RAM so the owner loaned me a 4gig stick! :D
