BTW , Is the I7 950, SAMSUNG PX2370 LED MONITOR - Something which you have to get ? Or is it just a consideration ?

If its something which you want to get then the whole Mobo and the other peripherals are going to change.

Also you could consider getting a i5-760 - Runs @2.8Ghz - Higher clocks

For 90k i would suggest i7 950 with a decent X58 board instead... Save money on

HDD- seagate 7200.12 1TB - 3100 almost comparable performance to black almost half price :)

No H50 water cooling... not needed cuz the proccy can be oc on stock cooler and is powerful enough already... can consider later but even then i suggest a noctua NH-D14 instead...

Logitech G110 is 3400 not 4000

There are cheaper power supplies as well... if u dont need a modular one u could save a couple of grand...not saying to compromise on quality but modular is expensive.... try CM GX750 not sure which else :p

Get cheaper 1GB GTX 460s as ur gonna SLI them anyways so no worries about performance...

U would need to spend a little more to get a 6GB kit of tri channel ram :)

i m considering i7 950 and i m sticking to ATI HD 5850 single for now.i cant find better monitor then the px2370 for gaming.

and wht about the USB 3.0 SUPPORT? Do u think i shud be future ready?

and also about the mouse i decided on Razer DA the guy from the link below is providing with a mouse and mouse pad combo . http://www.techenclave.com/dealers-paradise/razer-deathadder-rantopad-h3-silk-centaur-173051.html

about the cabby i was interested in CM HAF 922? is it good ?

thnks

Slightly exceeds budget but worth it IMO.
If u are adamant on single card(HD5850) then u can save substantially by going for a MSI HD5850 Twin FrozerII ~ 16.2k and Corsair VX550w ~ 4.8k/Corsair HX750 ~ 8.3k (Future Proof in case u decide SLI/CrossFire in the future. Excellent modular PSU and carries 7yrs warranty)

Avoid CM GX750. Its a poor PSU.

Don't waste money on mid-series processors. Always buy the lowest in the series. EDIT.. NVM looks like the i7 950 price has crashed a lot. Get the 950 then. Get the Rampage II Gene if you are happy with 2 PCIe 16x slots and 1 PCIe 1x slot and 1 PCI slot. Get the Corsair H50 (~4.1k), its the best value for money and better than any similarly priced air coolers. The H70 is not worth 30% extra.

Buy 6GB RAM minimum and always go triple channel. Get lowest timings within your budget as generally you won't get very far without loosening the timings while OCing unless you have active cooling or very good chips.

Do not make the mistake of going SLi/Crossfire. It'll be fine now, but 6 months down the line you'll regret wasting your money as it won't run jack shit smoothly when an equivalent single GPU runs it fine. Buy a single 460, 5850 or 5870 and OC. The 470/480 are a waste of money for the current generation of games and also considering other factors like power, heat and price. If something doesn't run butter smooth on a 5870, it sure as hell isn't going to run on a 480 either.

For monitor, buy a Dell WFP. You won't regret it. Unless you're willing to spend more for a U series.

Only buy Corsair PSUs. Whatever wattage you deem necessary. Even HX620 is enough for your rig.

I don't give advice on mouse/keyboard/sound card/cell phone.

1)DELL ST2420L Monitor led monitor
2)samsung px2370

and recommend me some good shops in parklane .
have ur say on my final config

^Get the U2311H I have listed. It sports a full HD res. and has dual digital connectivity - display port and DVI port. And the goodness of an IPS panel!

Just curious but when the gfx card offers a dvi out, why are you so keen on getting a display with HDMI in?

Besides, it is not worth spending for the 5850 now. You need to read up reviews on the GTX460 to know why we have suggested you one!

Stick to the Triple Channel RAM DarkAngel suggested above-
Corsair 6GB 1600MHz XMS3 Kit

@descreater : i aint gonna go for a sli/crossfire setup for now.so if ur saying that a single 460 is good than the 5850 then ok.

BTW about the monitor there will be problem when i wud go for fast paced games like UT.Most of the games that i wud play will be shooters.

Wht about the one i listed above are they any good ? DELL ST2420L Monitor led monitor is a new monitor amd specs does seem good.

@RD274 :eek:k thnks buddy

Mate , a single GTX460 , is just a notch below the 5850 - very close competitors - if ur going to leave it at stock then 460 - but then if you are going- also why not a dual gpu setup when you can afford one ?

A2-Where are you getting your ST2420L from , havent seen them in the Indian market , also google doesnt show up many reviews(if not any) on the monitor , also sells for about $260~(11k) + taxes + shipping and all that , you'd be better off with a U2311H/ST2210/G2220

^Yes and I ordered a couple, few days back. It's the low-power 5900rpm drive. Pretty good VFM IMO considering the WD costs 1k more.

I can't believe you would risk running 1TB+ HDDs without hardware RAID protection, or at least software RAID1. You'll lose EVERYTHING soon when it crashes....because HDDs always crash...eventually.

You should have no problems with the IPS panel like ghosting which was a thing of the past TBH - present day IPS panels have come a long way from what used to be sold previously. FPS games should run flawlessly. The GTX460 is what you should be buying ATM - paying a premium of 3k more for the HD5850 is not worth anymore.
