Hi guys,

I am planning to upgrade my PC to have a decent entry level gaming rig. I have gone through several sites to reach the below mentioned configuration.

AMD FX 6300
Motherboard: ASAP M5A97 LE
Please suggest..
Sapphire R7 260X
Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600 MHz
Antec 500W Power Supply

Please guide me in deciding the perfect configuration and tell me the recent price of the individual modules as per your knowledge.

I am staying in Hyderabad. Could any of you please help to find a genuine retailer providing good price.

Thanks in advance.

AMD FX 6300 -6900,
Gigabyte 970A-DS3P -5900,
Sapphire R7 260X 2GB DDR5 -9600,
Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600MHz -2800,
Corsair CX500 -3600.
TOTAL -28,800.
All the above prices are from flipkart. If you want to buy locally then go to Arun Computers, Chenoy Trade Center(CTC), Secunderabad.

Thanks bssunil....

Will I be able to overclock the FX 6300 with the motherboard u have mentioned.

And is the configuration perfect for an entry level gaming rig..

Yes but only a moderate overclock of 500Mhz. For a 4.5Ghz or more overclock you need a costly Asus or Gigabyte MB.

Okay...

But what about the ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0?

Can give me a comparison of the same with Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 is a very low end MB than Gigabyte 970A-DS3P buddy.
Asus MB does not have any VRM heatsinks but Gigabyte MB has to cool the MOSFETS beside the chipset.

why fx6300+m5a97 i would recomment i5+b75 they almost have same price plus you wont find fx good for gaming so its recommended to go for i5

Guys I have seen 750Ti performing a bit better than R7 260X....

Is it okay if I go for 750Ti with Fx6300....

And what about R7 265 against the 750Ti

@bssunil

Man I got the Corsair CX500M instead of CX500 due to unavailability...
Is it any different in terms of quality?

And is this PSU good enough for the configuration u suggested me in the same thread...

Please reply...
