I have a BIG 7300 GT gfx card. But the gamma setting for the overlay is greyed out. Am using DHzer0point drivers. can anyone tell me why the gamma setting is diabled? If this is something to do with graphics drivers, then does NGO or stock display driver has it?

Ofcourse nvidia's stock display driver for the 7300GT have gamma correction control...why on earth are you not using the default Nvidia drivers??:O

Used the stock driver and gamma is still disabled

@private ryan - r u sure u have the stock drivers of 7300Gt? Can u tell me which forceware version is it?

Well i have a 7600GS.. forceware version is 84.21..havent upraded for some time..btw, in the color correction window just chose 'All' in 'Apply color changes to: " drop down list...then the gamma correction is enabled...
Check the screenies..

No dude, I think it is specific to 7300 GT . I have that gamma correction for all colors in my 6800XT using the dhzer0point drivers and stock forceware. But on this 7300 GT i dont have it. looks like this is some sorta hardware restriction. Like in some gfx cards which does not have thermal sensors, they disable the temperature monitor screens. I sooooo wanted that gamma coz the videos seems a bit darker with this card. Thanx for ur efforts :)

Well even in my case the gamma slider is blanked out if i select overlay..it only activates after i select All in 'Apply color changes to:' dropdown list... then even if i select individual channels in the channels drop down list, the gamma settings stays active..

i normally just change the gamma setting in the 'All channels' list..never actually tweaked it in individual channels...it helps if the image seems dark... btw, dont really think any1 changes the gamma settings in individual channels of R G B...:S

Exactly, I am not selecting the desktop color settings. In fact, my desktop color settings are fine, Only the overlays ( like video etc) seems a touch darker when it is a dark scene. If I select ALL from the top and increase gamma, only the desktop settings gamma changes and not the overlay. And I bet the same things happens on your card too. You can do this simple test. Play a video in windowed mode, fire up the nvidia control panel, select all and try changing gamma, the desktop brightness increases for sure , but not the video brightness. I can increase the video brightness directly, but then it affects the actual brightness not the midtones. I just need to increase the gamma (midtones) a bit like 1.0 to 1.15. I was able to do it in prior gfx cards (Like 5200 and 6800XT) but not this one
