after i cross the checkpoints and nxt time i start d game d game says i dont have saved checkpoints?? what 2 do?

there is some problem in gears of war savegames system .. my savegames always gets wiped out when i reached near RAAM (the last boss)
first time i started and reached the last boss ...RAAM was damn hard so i thought i will try it later .. holla next time i started the game to find out the savegames are deleted .started playing again from start and reached 3rd or 4 th chapter and again savegames deleted
...in frustration and just shift-deleted the game from my HDD :rofl:
before deleting i tried to load some other ppl savegames but it didn't worked

google around,i remember watching a guide on how to save the games if you are playing offline.
did you make a microsoft live! offline profile?i think it saved checkpoints for me,though i never really got into the game so i can't be sure.

I never had an issue with the save or any other thing with this game.The update doesn't do much except for supposedly fixing the stuttering issues.I have the save games in Normal mode.But I am not sure it will work in your case as it's associated with your GFW Live a/c right? You can try this patch News: Gears of War Patch #1 - GamersHell.com

It is mandatory to create a profile even when playing offline. When you start the game without any profile, you'll get a prompt informing the fact that checkpoints will not be saved if the profile is not created. Press the F1 key when you reach the menu to create the profile.
Me and another member Saiyan just finished the game without any issues (Saiyan even managed to port save games after he was forced to uninstall and reinstall the game)
