i have dual boot of windows 7 and ubuntu 10.04 ..

i wanted to install geexbox , it has some option of install inside windows that will write some boot menu code to windows 7 so that at startup both win7 and geexbox can be selected ..

my question is

i have ubuntu and win7 currently in boot menu using the ubuntu's grub boot loader ..
if i install geexbox , will it overwrite the grub boot loader ?? or not , if thats the case how do i install geexbox ??

It depends on how geekbox handles the Windows bootloader. If only an entry will be added for the same then it won't appear in Ubuntu grub since Ubuntu grub is the one active now.

Second if it restore the bootloader (win) and then add an entry then you will loose the Ubuntu entry and only Windows and Geekbox will be available.

A simple solution. Install geekbox in Linux. Use the git/svn repo for the latest version and it will work like charm.
