I have an issue i would like to have help with.
I bought a mobo called Biostar Geforce 6100-M9. Reviews were good. People had nice things to say about it.
Until it was my turn to give it a review.....
First time my mobo had this horrible problem of screen garbling.... turn on computer 5 mins screen garbled (even when i am in the bios). BEcause of this was not able to use the machine for like 1 - 2 months (testing + replacement).
Note: i bought it like 3 months back.
After extensive help from eddy, superczar, saiyan and freaky got it replaced.
Now the new mobo - Put on my new GSKILL HZ kept restarting from the very first day of replacement. seriously was irritated. tried Transcend micron. Prime 95 failed in first iteration rounding off error. Even super Pi failed in 9th iteration. So flashed BIOS from 20/09/2005 to 24/11/2005 and things started to look stable except that my mouse doesnt work immediately when windows start, and no Video whatsoever.
Even games do not play - i can listen to the bg music and sound but with a blank screen with nothing to display. Best Part is the mobo goes ticky-ticky-ticky when its verifying the DMI pool and Identifying the IDE devices.
no issues with CPU (opty 165)
GSKILL - ran 12 hrs 31 mins prime 95 blended test with zero errors
HDD is not going ticky-ticky-ticky cause i dont hear the sound if i disconnect the PC speaker.
Any suggestions / ideas ?
Made a Clean install of windows twice
I have flashed every single bios version available.
Tforce BIOS tried
latest NVIDIA display drivers tried - the first screen of a movie flashed and then nothing. after that happ did not see other miralces
