The Tech Report - GeForce 7900 GS to hit the retail market?

After CPU and HDD price cuts, now GPUs too ...
GeForce 7600 GS ... reportedly runs at 450MHz with 20 pixel shader processors, seven vertex shader processors, and 256MB of memory clocked at 660MHz. In short, the card runs at the same speeds as the GeForce 7900 GT, but it shaves off four pixel shaders and one vertex shader ...
GeForce 7900 GS will supposedly reach ... to the $179-199 range ...
NVIDIA reportedly plans to cut the GeForce 7600 GT to $130 ...

GeForce 7900 GS is already in the US market. I don't know what TechReport is throwing, but the 7900 GS has been shipping in Dell computers for some time now.

GeForce 7900 GS so far seems PCI-E only. But I do believe that I saw a Leadtek AGP 7800 GS which was called "essentially a 7900GT in AGP flavour" in a forum.

From the same link : "The GeForce 7900 GS has been lurking in pre-built PC systems for a few months now, but graphics industry sources have told HKEPC the card will make it to the retail market later this month".

those 7800 gs has nothing to do with this new 7900 gs .. :hap5:

leadtek as well as gainward sold 7800 gs cards with 7900 gt core .. in agp flavours ..

those 7800 gs agp cards has nothing to do with this new 7900 gs .. :hap5:

Too low, the 7600 GT itself is at 160 right now. It'll be 199$ or so
