Graphic Cards GeForce 8000-series Launch Dates, Prices

The GeForce 8500 GT, GeForce 8600 GT and GeForce 8600 GTS will launch on April 17, with the GeForce 8300 GS and GeForce 8400 GS coming in soon after. The GeForce 8400 GS and 8300 GS will likely only be available with OEM systems and will have 450 MHz core clocks and 400 MHz memory clocks, respectively. Their higher range brothers have technical details and price ranges as follows:

GeForce 8600 GTS ($199 to $229) – 256 MB GDDR3, 675 MHz core clock, 1000 MHz memory clock
GeForce 8600 GT ($149 to $159) – 256 MB GDDR3, 540 MHz core clock, 700 MHz memory clock
GeForce 8500 GT ($89 to $129) – 128 to 256 MB DDR2 or GDDR3, 450 MHz core clock, 700 MHz memory clock

Gr8 finally some sort of hope for mid end user . But that 128 Bit interface won't help much in power gaming And future games like Crysis and other DX10 game will suffer .. Amm. when ATI is gonna bring out the cards are they sleeping. At least the X2600XT can bring some hope for 256bit interface hyeah: :bleh:

From the reviews so far, performance of these cards is lacking. Don't think they're gonna be as big a hit as 6600gt/7600gt.

yeah.......but people who cant afford the 8800s and want the dx10 features to be at least available to them (if not playable smoothly) will go for them

There more than enough room for a 8600GTX/Ultra,too much gap between 8800GTS 320M...
My only hope is they will be good at dx10..
