NVIDIA sets the date for RTX 5070 Ti; the first 5070 card is launching in three weeks.
NVIDIA has just released updated embargo information for the RTX 5070 Ti. The company initially planned to launch this card on February 14, but the date has been pushed back to the following week due to Chinese New Year.
According to the new information, NVIDIA will have three embargoes. The launch will be split between MSRP and non-MSRP cards. To clarify, this refers to custom cards that will be priced at NVIDIA’s official MSRP, which in this case is $749. It is worth noting that NVIDIA will not offer a Founders Edition for the 5070 Ti, meaning all reviews and available graphics cards will come from board partners.
The first embargo lifts on February 19, covering MSRP models. The following day, tech media will review non-MSRP cards, with immediate availability (in stores) starting the same day (February 20).
NVIDIA has not yet confirmed the embargo dates for RTX 5070 non-Ti models. The 5070 Ti is significantly cheaper than the 5080/5090, which are priced at $999 and $1999, respectively.
However, those prices are even higher when considering custom cards.
Based on reader’s comments, the RTX 5070 series seems far more appealing to gamers at the moment. Perhaps for this reason, AMD is planning to launch its Radeon RX 9070 series shortly after NVIDIA.
Unfortunately, AMD has not yet confirmed the launch date for their cards.
