GUys m getting this problem fr past 7-8 days .. atleast 2-3 times a day ..

generic host process for win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close

Net doesn't work after getting this error .. have to restart ..

Googled a lot for it .. but cudnt get a proper solution .. please help guys .. :(
 
used to happen with me when i had xp sp2, updated to sp3 and haven't had the problem since.

there are a couple of security patches which fix this issue on sp2, i m assuming you have sp2?
 
run sfc /scannow from cmd prompt to check the system file integrity if files were altered it will restore them either from cache or will ask for the OS disk.

Optionally you can run sfc /scanboot to check the OS files at boottime.

Yes, i am on Sp3 ... infact on SP2 i did not have this problem .. started a few weeks after I installed SP3.

One year back, I came across with this problem, only with broadband Internet.

Solution : I adopted, Full win Patch upto may 07, update patches Jun07 and Jul07 installed. Source Digit CD. After that I have not came across.

Note : Still I am unable to find correct solution.

Many of my area, told with SP3 is the only solution, but today something different.
 
Installed a patch - FixitupDZ ... havent seen the prob since installing it .. hopefully it has worked .. will take 2-3 days to conform ..
