Things are tenuous in the States for Microsoft following a court ruling that could see the halting of Xbox 360 hardware imports, but the situation is pretty dire in Germany at the moment. It is being reported today that a German court ruling has granted Motorola Mobility an injunction against the distribution of Microsoft products in the country, including the Xbox 360 console, Windows 7 software, Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player.

Microsoft on its part is trying to ban import of Motorola Androids in US. All these patent trolling has become increasingly frustrating for the consumer of late.
 
Patents serve a purpose, they are needed. But for the last 10 years US Patent Office and other patent bodies to a lesser extent have been regularly dishing out ridiculous patents. For eg : Building a smartphone with rounded edges, using your fingers horizontally for screen transition etc etc. Armed with such patents tech companies are starting to sue each other for more money or to snuff out competition.
 
^^exactly Patients are very very important.It is us mostly that is utilizing it improperly.If you look at their history you will find many funny ones.
