http://www.homecinema-hd.com has a great tutorial for setting up your Mpc,They also have a Fully configured player to download @ http://www.homecinem...k_homecinema-hd .Many of the filters Bundled are old so -Please download the latest ffd show,Lav filters,reclock,madvr, and install ,After that just copy the settings file,The Registry entires from Madvr bluray to Your Mpc folder and install.

and then If you have a quad core or dual core Use SVP 3.06 it gives smooth playback with allmost all players,You will not turn it off after using it -http://svp-team.com/wiki/Download {Must for all }

For using mad vr you need a pretty powerful gpu.
 
is this any different from the K Lite Mega codec pack media player classic home cinema??? if not, why go through all this trouble.. the player with the default settings works absolutely fine!!!

Yes its very much different ,you will be using mad vr as default renderer instead of evr which is default on Media player home cinema.
 
oh. and sorry. .not the full default settings on the mpc. i use vmr9 instead of evr because evr sucks.. . plus, i have enable alternative vsync which shows better results and less tearing in HD videos..

so whats the difference between mad vr and evr??? and whats the advantage??? why is it better???

#[member='gokufan'], probably you should also mention that people with low end graphics cards will not benefit from this. also the latest madvr v0.8 has problems . slows down playback a lot.
 
Anyone got this setting for better appearance and performance
