Getting 3g data connection - MTNL delhi

After getting the MTNL SIM and activating it, how do I activate the 3G data connection? Also, how do I check if I have any free data with the new connection? *444# only gives balance and validity. Also tried 112 and 234 but nothing. Sending enqfree to 444 gives Invalid Request.

Any ideas?

Just recharge with minimum data pack and check for your self..just head over to paytm and recharge with 42 rs for 500 mb data for 3 days...

I always recharge my mtnl number through Paytm...

How to recharge from freecharge if anybody did help as I got failed for 99 3g pack...I selected special recharge but failed.
