512X2 Hynix ram
160gb sata
Sony dvd writer ( cuase ben q is not available here)
Cabinet i wanted to ask u guyz Zebronics cabinets any good?
i m planning to either get the Lava Version Or the antibiotic
http://www.zebronics.net/highend.asp heres the link to it.
Ill be putting an xfx 6800gt even in powersupply im only getting zebronics 500watts over here. will it be good enough(i dunt overclock or anything like that)
So wat do u guyz think is it good enough for now??? (a8v is really hard to get dunno why? so thats why am opting for msi is the mobo anygood?)

Wlll all i can say is nice choice for a mobo... Neo2 platinum would be better... Go in for a Powesafe instead of Zebronics... And get Antec Super Lan Boy better then zebronics...

The Neo 2 Platinum is the best board for s939 with a AGP slot. So not getting a8v doesnt matter. Abt the PSU better get powersafe cuz the general consenus is zebby uses low-q components. About the cabinet only the lava looks decent enough rest of the cabinets look fugly. I think masky had the antibiotic so he would know better. I would suggest Twinmos over hynix though.

I am sorry to say but i see ppl recommending stuff without enough reasoning... @Ansih Would you care to post why should he get A8V over Neo2 platinum...

@Goldenfrag what is your reasoneing recommending him a to keep his current PSU... I think you havent even read his complete post... He hasnt mentioned what he is currently using... what a pity !!!

Actually everything else is fixed . So mobo ur saying the neo2 platinum is better than the neo 2f? also im getting confused on the cabby wich one should i go for lava or antibiotic... cause anitbiotic really looks cool :P

about the PSU WELL ne one here using zebronics 500watts having ne problems? ( im not going to overclock or anything so do ireally need powersafe?

i mean i cant find powersafe anywhere over here :(

@Anish ---- I am also wondering what made you recommend an A8V ?? I know that you have an A8V but that does not make it a better board than the Neo2 plat. I was dying for a Neo2 Platinum and would have LOVEd to get it. Unfortunately, I could not. they were asking for 17K when I was getting the A8V at 10K.

@Satan ---- Go for the MSI Neo2 Platinum if you want an AGP based mobo. No doubt abt that at all.... :)

And yeah, go for Powersafe PSU and Twinmos RAM. Or get Funky's OCZ Gold VX which he is selling for 7.5K .An absolute steal at that price.

And you may say that you will not oc. But having an AMD 64 system, you will succumb to the temptation sooner or later.... :bleh:

I would recommend the Antec SLK 1650 with 350 Watts Smartpower PSU , 350 watter shud be good since u aint OCing , besides Antec is sheer quality and class . Its fuggin silent and keeps the temperatures very low , its got a 120 mm rear fan, a side air duct ( u can remove it and put in a 80 mm intake ) , u can put in a 80 mm front intake and ur ready to go .Its got rubber vibration dampners on the HDD slots .The PSU is encased in a seperate enclosure type section where u can tuck in the unused molex's to facilitate better case ventilation.
Costs around 3800, looks very basic , but u will only figure out the class after u use it , period .

its not antec but its not too bad. a friend got one after his 400w zebby went bust twice . so far after a year there havent been issues. he has 4 optical drives and 2 hdds and a p4 something or the other

Just out of curiosity, why the 3200+? It costs 2K more over the 3000+ for a measly 200Mhz more. You could just as well get a 3000+ and OC it to 3200+ speeds.

You could always contact Kunhar(VIP/Powersafe guys) directly and ask them to ship you the Powersafe. The powersafe isnt available in Chennai either, Darky did me a big favour by shipping it to me. JediMaster contacted Kunhar directly and got his Powersafe shipped home as well. If budget permits, an Antec would be a great choice. Please dont be of the misconception that a good PSU is only needed for OC'ing. For good, clean, quality power - get a good PSU. Since the 6800GT is pretty power hungry as well, your system would definately benefit from a good PSU.

The MSI Neo2-F/Platinum both are good boards, no worries about it. The Neo2-F is pretty much a stripped down board, with the Platinum having lots of bells and whistles. Bottle has the Neo2 platinum - i'm sure he'd testify that its a great board :)

On another note, with no intention to hurt Funky's sale - the OCZ Gold VX would be of pretty much no use on a standard board. You'd need high VDimm to see them fly - only the DFI, Abit offer high enough voltage options to work those memory modules.

Okay, I think my remarks were thrown way out of context.

I was recommending A8V Deluxe over the K8N NEO2-F not over the Neo2 Platinum, for god's sake :ashamed:

the zeb-500 is an OK PSU..one of my frnds has been using it for over 8 months now with no issues...just be careful about its authenticity...i personally saw local PSUs being branded with the zeb logo and being sold

@Anish: The main reason everyone was recommending the Neo2-F/Platinum over the A8V was because it has the nVidia nForce3 Ultra chipset. The A8V has the Via K8T800 pro chipset, which pales in comparison to the nForce3 Ultra. The PCI/AGP locks arent assured to work on the Via based board, and on some boards that it does work on - the locks break after a certain point.

The Neo2-F is still a fine board, the Platinum just adds a few more extras.

The Zebby PSU is manufactured by the same company as Powersafe - L&C. Just that Powersafe has a bit more quality control in the products. Seeing that, you could be just as fine with a Zebby.

:| Both are the almost same boards barring firewire and a few extra sata ports i think.
