Getting a PS4 from US... Need advice :)

Hi All...

As the title suggests, I'm planning on getting a PS4 from the US through a friend next month... :cool:
I have been a PC gamer since last 10-12 years... ;) hence have no idea on consoles... This will be my first console...

I have done a bit of googling and figured out that :-
  1. There will be no warranty for the console in India :banghead:
  2. The games are not region locked and any games purchased in India should work
  3. The power ratings are not an issue since the PS4 has an universal power adapter
  4. DLCs will be region locked
Apart from these, is there anything else to be considered before getting the console... Like will there be any import duties/customs charges levied at the airport? :(

Please share your thoughts and opinions on this...

Anyway, even I'm thinking of getting one from US as a friend of mine is coming in a week's time.

Did you get one as well? If yes, any problems?

Thing is, it makes so much sense that you save about 12k with which you can get extra controller and couple of games.

What say you gamers of TE?

I got one.. Total cost 25k..
But amazon guys tricked me.. There were 3 games in the bundle which I ordered but I received only 2.. :(
If warranty is not a big factor then you could get one..

Woah! Amazon did this? That's bad. However, did you buy the additional controller and online subscription?
 
I bought it finally! LOU Remastered and The Order Bundle, with an additional white controller and FIFA 15. Couldnt wait for FIFA 16. Getting it on 1st of July. Oh boy!

Bundle was $399. A friend of mine picked up from a BestBuy store. Don't know about custom issues as I'll only get the product on 30th of this month. Compared to India, and if you have someone coming down from US, you can easily save enough money to buy an additional controller, 2 games (I picked up FIFA 15 and thinking about picking up GTA v) and playstation plus fee as well, for the same amount..
 
Bro got mine from the US...using it for a year no problems.
One extra point to add is that the Blu-Ray Region will be of that of US(Region 1 i think), But it can be changed to Indian,I think region 5. This can be done 3 or 5 times(not sure) on the PS4.

Oh really? Didn't know about this. I thought it wasn't the case anymore.
