errr...errrm...you are confused.

CCC is not a chipset. It is the driver+end user interface that you use ONLY AND ONLY if you have a card with an ATI core. That screen image which you posted (customize install) for ATI Catalyst, should never ever appear on your system if you are using a nVidia card. Its like trying to wear two pairs of shoes on the same foot. Yes you can, but it will cause hindrance. So take the CCC CD, and throw it in the dustbin.

The reason you are having issues with Rivatuner, cause it is a driver / left over .DLL files issue. Do the steps 1---5 and I mentioned in post#17, and you should be good to do.

Whooo confused:huh::huh:
My PC Current status regarding drivers:-
1.Installed fresh windows 7 64bit ultimate(Download and installed all updates for windows)
2.installed Forceware driver 195.62
3.installed sound driver(realteak)
4.Till now no chipset driver installed
the above screen image which i had posted was of this (the 3rd driver i.e ATI System Drivers for RS690/RD780/RD790/RX780/RX780/RS740/SB600/SB7xx)
MSI Global ? Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more
this i was asking should i install it or not and this above installation i was going to do after nvidia forceware installing
and ya surely i will do the 1-5 steps as said by you and will post the result:)

^^

That is so weird. Why are they slip streaming CCC in the chipset drivers. OK, install it, then remove it manually.

Okk now its fine, and that rivatuner is till not working after doing your 1-5 steps:no: still getting the same error as posted on 1st post of the thread..

really Rivatuner is making me sick of OCing:@:@ its long time windows 7 has been released and still now no new or different version of Rivatuner is released for windows 7 really wanna sick of rivatuner don't know how many times i have installed and un-installed it:@ i search on other forms many people are facing this issue but no solution

It works perfect for me on Win7 Ultimate 64 BIT. Weird....but do stick with me..will fix this. How about installing it on another partition on your system. You did remove the slip streamed CCC right..when the chipset drivers were installed...and its Riva 2.24 you trying..?

Yes i am trying Rivatuner 2.24...and ok i am installing it in other partition but in which os mode should i install and run it? what you did?

I only have Win7, so did it on that. Just a normal install. Though I had to take a special CFG file from the guru site, cause Riva is not yet configured to recognize HD4890's.

Let us know, what transpires...Riva should not be such a hassle... :(

Installed normally in windows 7 whoo without administrator mode too? that great, and what is that CFG file let me try it also and there is one more new beta driver at guru3d i.e 196.34 will try it also

Listen to this. Not gone through the whole thread so dunno what all has been done but do this.

Make sure what kind of OS you are installing 32 or 64 bit.

Download corresponding drivers first.

Try to overclock using the ntune if you can first to see if its power to the card related issue or what.

If its happening, install riva. It will say unsupported drivers or something. Ignore that move forward.

Try to see if you get the options to OC. If not, try to note the error message.

Well you should have...cause..see below, it makes your post look like fools writing...!

The OP knows about that, and repeatedly has been told that Rivatuner works fine for Win7 64 BIT.

The OP has done that, all ready, and even gave us the official MSI link for all drivers/chipset device drivers he installed.

OP is more interested to do it using Rivatuner, else this thread would never have taken birth.

That is exactly the error he is getting. How can you ask the OP to install Rivatuner and use it for OC, when he is getting errors while trying to use it. Its like asking someone to skip rope with a broken leg.

OP gave us all the error messages, in the first 3-4 posts.

It would be really nice, if you could read the whole thread, before you piss all over it.

^^@asingh thanks for the above post, but will that cfg file help me if so send me the link as still Riva tuner is still not working

^^

Doubt it..that configuration file was specific for the HD4890's only. It will not help you. Try that beta driver...?

Problem solve for RIVATUNER ON WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64BIT:ohyeah:

Its not about nvidia driver(can run on any of the forceware version),nor the OS issue:cool2:

Its the Rivatuner x64 signed Driver issue:) after installing rivatuner with the x64 signed file which i downloaded somewhere from net its working fine much better than xp:)

Now no changing of OS mode for installing Rivatuner in windows 7 just install normally:ohyeah:

Now i can change fan speed,core clock,shader clock,core volt anything i feel like:ohyeah:

Here is the few of this magic

+1 reputation to me:rofl: as i founded the solution on my own:ohyeah:

^^ Great to see it is working.

So you telling me, for Riva Tuner to work -- it must see a WHQL signed driver for the GPU...be it ATI/nVidia. And you were using a beta Forceware release..?

Though happy OC'ing...this is the best GPU OCing / monitoring tool. Nothing beats it.

No i was not using any beta Forceware release, i installed the same Forceware release in windows 7 which i used in xp.

And ya this OCing tool is excellent that's why i was on its head that it should work in windows 7, otherwise that Vtune was working perfect on windows 7 but that was not like Rivatuner:)

^^

You mean..you were using the same ForceWare, that you had used with the XP instance..?
