Getting TriBand Next month, need suggestions

Well , after enduring Sify for the last 4 years, finally MTNL is here in my sector. Have already applied for a landline and will be applying for a Triband connection next week. Now i need suggestions on which router should i pick up for the connection. I would prefer a wireless one so that i can hook up my Nokia 5800 also on it. Is that possible ? What are the options ? And what all do i need to take care of in taking the connection ?
 
Not sure. Was thinking of taking the 849 NU , but really i won't be using the plan 4 out of 7 days. So it's kind of a waste of money. So mostly some el-cheapo 249-349 plan for now.
 
no..thats not true..my friend got the connection a couple of weeks back..he was a bit cunning though..he opted for that 199 rs plan first..which he got within 2-3 days(NU seems to take months) and then asked them to change the plan to NU which surprising was done so within 2 days again !!!

u got few options ...

1. Rent the Modem + wi-fi router from MTNL - 50 Bucks per month + ~300/Rs Initial charges
2. Buy Dlink 502 Or similar plain Jane dabba as Modem ~ 1.5K + pickup a wi-fi router ~ 1.5K (check @Te-Market ~1K)
3. Buy a Combo DSL modem +Wi-fi router ~2.5K upwards

in all above cases, 5800 can work with the wi-fi router.

NU549 was 256 Kbps, thats no longer available
NU849 plan shud be available in ur exchange, MTNL does not give that in some exchanges where user limit has reached peak.

try the basic plan for first month, and depending on usage, select decent plan.

Hmm. Thanks . Yep gonna take the basic plan ( or something similar ) only. Will see what to get for the modem now. Any models you suggest for the combo one, as it seems to be better in terms of less clutter etc.
