Hi guys, I have a Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2P board (Award BIOS PG 6.00) having boot problems, its not starting up, i mean not even BIOS Screen.
Although sometimes (1 in 50 attempts
) system can boot properly but i am not able to save any changes made in the bios screen, the system just hangs when i try to save any settings...
Sys Config:
AMD Sempron 140 CPU - Tested, working fine on other board.
Kingston DDR2 1GB Ram - Tested, Memtes86+, No Errors.
Also tried the CMOS reset/ Remove Battery/Change Battery with new battery options
Installed a Nvidia Gfx card yet same problem..
So the board definitely has some problem...
I installed a PCI POST Card & it halts at CF value which accroding to Award Bios PG 6.00 is CMOS R/W Functionality error.
Is there any way to force the board to run via Backup Bios so that it can copy BIOS back into main bios?
I tried searching on google etc but most methods are not working properly...
The board is still in warranty, but cant visit the service centre Digilink since i get no time during weekdays to visit there...so RMA is last resort if everything fails..
