hi....these mobos looks promising. gigabyte claims that it can save up to 70% of power while giving 20% of increased efficiency. Is any TE member using any of these boards? here is the direct link -- GIGABYTE -- Ultra Durable 2 / Dynamic Energy Saver Motherboards

also check out the cool software utility that shows all kinds of temps, power consumption in real time. and those led displays on mobos...looks absolutely fabulous. if anyone knows about the pricing. kindly let me know :) if possible also mention which model i should buy for my e8400 procy. :ohyeah:

Hmm...don't Intel's speed step and AMD's C 'n Q do the same?

dont know about intel and amd as they alwayz attach fancy names to their new range of procy but here gigabyte who is actually manu. the mobo is claiming it. so may b its true.

Again the issue of availability, the board is not readily available and if it is costs near 7k

thanx i will search for it in nehru place. apart from availability. is this board good "GA-EP35-DS3 (rev. 2.1)" for e8400,msi 8800gt? and it costs around 7k so its almost equal to abit ip35-e

PM harshal, he had the board. He'll give u more info about it :)

The energy saved is just 1w / half hour..... Not substantial & it does not work if overclocked... So no great use for the energy saver feature..

so u mean i shud go for abit ip35-e instead of this one...as abit is more recommended and tried-n-tested :)
