CPU/Mobo Gigabyte G41 motherboard not supporting ram. Asking for a friend

One of my friend has a Gigabyte GA G41 motherboard and he purchased a Starlite 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz memory module but it isn't supporting by the mobo. His other ram module is a Kingston 4 GB of same spec according to him, so technically the new one should work fine, but PC isn't booting.
What could be the reason, will it be supported at all?
 
See if you can try the Starlite ram in some other PC. If it works then its a problem with your mobo and rma won't help you. You will have to see if the dealer is willing to buy your ram back and exchange.

If it doesn't work in the other PC also then its probably a faulty ram and you should RMA it.
