Graphic Cards Gigabyte's Second Dual GPU Board

Gigabyte is planning another entry into the Dual GPU graphics card market after releasing the 3D1 last year.

The new board, which will probably be called the 3D1-XL, will feature dual 6600 GPUs, unlike the 6600GT GPUs in the 3D1. Using the less powerful chips allows the pricing to be cheaper for a high performance card. Performance is expected to be around that of an X850XT. The card will include 256MB GDDR3 memory, TV-out, VGA out and DVI-I out, as well as a HDTV decoder.

Release is unknown, and pricing is expected to be around $400 (USD).

400$ is kinda expensive, considering 2 6600s cost around 100$ each
Yup but they cant be Sli-ed. Also that statement abt this card being as good as the x850 is BS! Prolly gives good scores in synthetic benchies but thats about it. ;)

True the 6600s cant be SLI-ed. Considering the 6600GTs were interconnected on a single board with the help of the SLI links, its a marvel how they managed to link the 6600s which do not have any SLI links.

But for 400$, you could easily get 2 x 6600GTs as well as spend the extra on an SLI board and get much much better performance!
Putting this at around 200-250$ would've been a great price point for this card :)
