Gillette Mach 3

btw, anyone uses a Electric shaver here? not the triple rotating blades from Philips.. the other one.. better than Mach 3, are they?

The Mach 3 is way better than an ordinary razor. I completely agree - after you've used one, you just can't go back and rightly so. The shave's smooth with absolutely no cuts! You won't end up cutting yourself even if you tried whereas I'd get shaving nics with other blades after the most dextrous of efforts.

Oh and each blade lasts me for 2 months at least i.e. with usage every alternate day. For XT however things may be VERY different. haha

Trust me the electric stuff is not very good.

I used to have a better one than the one you posted, from Braun. Same double integrated shears and all, and it was not a very close shave. Worst of all was that it was absolutely ineffectual on the throat/neck region. And battery problems galore. Plus, the metal foil on top craacked after less than 2 years. There is no replacement.

I gave up and switched to gillette presto. If you do get one of that design (non-rotary), make sure it does NOT include integrated shears. They tout it as a feature (the shears are between the shaving blades rather than separate. Normally they are separate, so you use them first on long beard hair, and then the shaving blades, but in this it is a single step. In practice, it results in a very rough shave!), but it is a bad idea.
 
Had a Mach 3 sometime back but it got stolen in the hostel...lolz..those buggers wud steal ur undies too(just for fun) if left unattended..:rofl:

I've been using a sasta Gillette Presto since then..works fine..anyways 'm too lazy to shave every other day...do it once in a week..:eek:hyeah:
 
Have u all guys ever used SUPER MAX 3 made by indian company, someone called malhotra groups?

I havent used MACH 3 yet, but max 3 is the best blade i have used it till date. The use and throw blade costs 15 bucks only. I used to use Gillette presto but this max is leaps ahead of gillette presto. Although it may not be a match to mach 3 i guess.

Have you guys looked at this?

God, if I shaved once in a week I would look like Osama...

I NEED to shave everyday. Once a friend of mine didn't shave for a week. And his beard was as large as mine if I didn't shave for a single day.

I used that once ....it may be good for ppl with light beard but not so good for some 'heavy duty' lawn mooving like mine.
 
For those of you who think otherwise:D

I too use Mach3 and believe me its awesome.
Its pretty much one of the best available there:)

Though i have tried many including the age old blade system:p Mach 3 has given the best results with the closest shave. That french beard of mine u see in any of my pics...well it grows back to normal size in 5 days:p So u can imagine what i would be without shaving for 5 days:bleh: And then compare it with the Mach 3 shave that i get.....soo....whats ur opinion now:p
 
I use the Mach3 Turbo blades, with the regular Mach3 system that i bought yeaarrrrrrssss ago! The Aloe in the turbo is really good at keeping your skin feeling moisturised and soft...and i just bought some denim aftershave because i couldnt continue using my 4 yr old axe aftershave lol....
 
i use shick quattro and its way superior than any other disposable razor i have tried
it gives the closeness of the traditional razor without the bloodshed
