GIMP HELP needed

I need help to create BOXs (different colours and shades) like this in GIMP

• Different colour shades (except that bulb)
• rounded corner

How to do it ? Steps in details ?

If you have photoshop 7, you can install in Linux with wine, and it should work

File > New (your choice of resolution - just make it larger than the box you want to create)
Select > Rounded Rectangle (set radius to around 10-15)
In the colour boxes, select your foreground and background colours of choice.
Click the Gradient tool - click and drag in the selection - there you have your rounded corner box.
