Gionee Elife S5.5, which is believed to be the world's slimmest smartphone, is now available in India at Rs 22,999. The phone has a thickness of 5.5mm and weighs 130g. The phone is listed on the Gionee India online store.

According to the company, the Elife S5.5 is crafted with a metallic frame and Corning Gorillas Glass Uni-Body. "It uses the world's thinnest AMOLED Screen, thinnest PCB board with a 0.6MM and 0.4mm glass rear cover," said William Lu, President of Gionee.
The ELife S5.5 is equipped with a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED plus screen, a true octa-core 1.7GHz processor, a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel 95 degree ultra-wide angle front-facing camera.
The Elife S5.5 was unveiled during the 2014 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
