Laptops Given a choice which one to buy: Toshiba or DELL ??

Query 1:
Please suggest me which is better, Toshiba or DELL if i intend to buy a laptop from USA / Canada. I have heard Toshiba laptops are good buy need you experts' opinion ??

Query 2:
Also suggets me a lappy (another one) that i can buy for my Dad. He basically needs to use it for Tally. But in this case the screen size has to be minimum 14" or 15", not less than that.
 
U can get a god deal on Toshiba laptops in USA. They are sleek & quite feature rich as comparedto Dell. Dell gives direct support & thats all.

Dell is expensive as compare to Toshiba.

I was in USA sometime back & found some great deals at Circuit city. Best Buy, Staples - I didn't get to see so much variety. But then it depends on teh store size.

If u going tobe in USA for 10 days or more, chk out teh store models & the order online. To look for deals - see dealnews.com. Also open an account at fatwallet.com & then click at store link like circuitcity etc from fatwallet. U will get addl discount/cashback.

I found some toshioba moidel with 4GB RAM & 350 GB hDD quite cheap at abt $600 at circuit city a month back. Deals come & go. SO ifu r lucky, u may snare a good deAL :)
 
Actually i am in Canada and there are no chances of me going to USA so just was thinking where can i get a good deal on laptops. Do those US websites like circuit city etc ship to Canada? Are there any additional charges ??
 
Errrr....1 thing to note would be to look if toshiba gives international warranty on the notebooks. Because dell warranty is transferable. If the toshiba warranty isnt and something happens, you could be stuck :)

Toshiba gives international warranty mate i did check this before i could buy mine and after i purchased all i had to do is call toshiba though they dont have a toll free number :@ ,and register my product ,and i did enquire abt warranty they said i can extended my warranty in India too ,which Dell does the same ,working with Dell i some how hate the lappies and the issues with them ..Go with Toshiba and u do get international warranty and as ^asheet said the laptops from Toshiba look sleek and rich but a lil difficult to maintain as they are glossy finish :(

I am not 100% sure, but I believe Toshiba international warranty is only valid on the Qosimo series, NOT on the basic laptop models. I could be wrong of course, but please confirm :ashamed:

1) 1800-11-8674 (Toll Free) this no never worked for me ,give a try

2) 011-26383500 (Charges Apply)

Toshiba US :8008674422( call using skype its free ,i did the same)

hereby i have attached a copy of my warranty ,please do check it

Cool. So then toshiba laptops are a good option from the states too ;)
 
is the A305 available in India ??

Also i am at present in Canada and so intend to buy it from here. I saw the Toshiba Canada website but could not find the A305, but A300 was available. If A305 is available in India, can you tell me where to buy from and the rates of same along with the available configuration.

Also what do you guys think about this laptop. Is it good for this price ??
