Global PC games market revenue overtakes consoles

According to market analysts at DFC Intelligence the PC games market now generates more revenue globally than the console games market can muster. A DFC analyst, in an interview with PCR, points out how the times have changed. Consoles are now seen as a prestige item, where as PCs, which can also play games, are increasing becoming a device that people need, and are cheaper to build, especially gaming rigs.

As electronic devices are converging, this report might just see which devices will still be with us 10-15 years from now, and PC will still be there, especially laptops.

I think so too. There is nothing better than keyboard+mouse for gaming. And the customization option for PC's is priceless. The main reasons which have been keeping me away from consoles are: games too expensive (however things appear to have changed a bit lately), need a screen with HDMI ports and lack of compatibility with future products and PC games have tons of games so much more than consoles. Last but not the least I love being a keyboard warriorrrr!!
However for portability handheld consoles sound better.
