Go 7950GTX+Crysis=Unplayable?

Hi
I only have a laptop now and got crysis recently.Installation was smooth.But when the game started it looks very bad.The current resolution is 1024x768 but the visual is terrbile.Is it due to 17" monitor?Or is it supposed to run like this on "low end" machines?

Other specs, 2GB RAM,T7200.

I played crysis on my laptop Inspiron 1520 T 7100,2 gb ram and 8600 M GT
Could play at medium low settings at low resolution..

First time it said it was changing to low settings and resolution at 1024x768.After a while in game,i ran it again and it changed to medium.

What's your resolution?1024x768?I think it might be the driver.Ned to look that way.
 
i dont know...but crysis is a mean CPU hog...

it cant run on a 3ghz p4 system also... if an enemy comes in front of u the fps drops to 10 with a p4 system

maybe thats the reason...underclocked laptop proccesors...but not sure just a guess :P

Dont remember the setings now..but it definetly not higher than 1024*768..I used the latest driver at that time which was released for crysis by nvidia
 
overall laptop gaming performance is lower i guess.... i have tried it on Medium @ 1024 on my 7900GTX and it worked fine :D (E2140 @ 2.2Ghz)
 
The bottleneck is that 7950GTX. All 7xxx cards had pretty terrible shader model 3.0 performance. Crysis runs fine on an X1900XTX + E2140 overclocked a bit perfectly fine in medium settings.

Changed the driver to 169.03 from laptopvideo drivers.The old one was 80smthng.Its better but nt tht well.

Cud be the 7950GTX as said.

means are you using laptop with 7950 gtx

is 7950 gx2 can set high at 1204x768 :huh: using crysis
 
Yes I am using a Sager laptop.There was a newwer driver and it was said to be optimised and it really is.No more problems and everything goes smooth.Didn't know that drivers had this kind of influence.
