AFAIK very few of Biostar will hit the retail ..... maybe none :)
 
^^:) Supra go to the second link you have posted...go to page 1(your link takes to page 7)....you will find the reviews are not good....in fact they are suggesting against the board because of crappy bios
 
lol thats why gave u link to 7th page.....Polygon of rebel's have have come out with a modded bios as well....anyway 1st page will be with bios issues as the bios was very new....plz go through all the 7 pages if u have ur hard earned time to spare :rofl:

Is the modded bios available in the company site....?

How much of modding needs to be done to make the board acceptable?

Not everyone might be in those guys level?
 
arre...its just as simple as doing a BIOS update...in fact its the same thing...use Winflash for windows....btw this is a GO thread....I posted abt the performance links to give u guys an idea...not to launch a discussion or something.

The reason for low interest is probably the murky track record of Biostar. Specially in India. Company presence is next to nothing and trust me when i say bios updates are few and far. Though they make great boards, it needs better support.

Also most power users are looking at something more than a basic board with good overclocking ability. Personally I want more features than what are offered by this board. For me, any board without dual GB Lan is no no for main pc.

I might buy this for my 2nd cruncher is i decide to sell the P5N-E though, but that setup is running 100% 24x7 for while without any glitch. Lets see. I might be in for this GO. But i will need 1-2 days to decide.
 
Actually biostar main site is never up to date with the BIOSes...I had the Biostar TA690G AM2 for a while & believe me it was an excellent board....they had releasd arnd 5 bioses in 3 mnths :P....all BIOS r usually in the china site.Anyway Polygon of rebelshaven always gives a good support by creating moded BIOSes.As of warranty issues, as there is no usual service centre for Biostar , so everything is usually replaced . And asking for a dual GB LAN on a 100$ board(pricing is lame in India) is too much :P
